Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Construction Manager II for immediate employment for the Portland, Oregon office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.   
This role will depend on the Construction Manager's ability to perform the following:

Manage concurrent projects; obtain security badging at Port facilities, which may require a criminal background check; demonstrate commitment to valuing differences among individuals and passion for being inclusive.
Advanced knowledge of: General construction management principles, industry practices standards, codes, and regulations; technical requirements of construction management.  

• Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
• Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
• Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
• May have budget responsibilities.
• Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.
• Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
• Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an engineering/construction environment in progressively more responsible positions with specific focus on construction contract management and inspection with 3-5 years’ mid-level management experience; or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree desirable
