Jobing Description

The Warehouse Retail Sales Senior Supervisor or Retail Sales Manager is part of the Field Sales Organization for Quaker, Tropicana and Gatorade (QTG), a division of PepsiCo. The Retail Sales Manager (RSM) reports directly to the Zone Sales Leader in the region and is responsible for retail execution of all QTG products within an assigned channel (i.e. Grocery, Wal-Mart, and Emerging Convenience).

Key Competencies:



  • Own the retail execution for assigned channel within sales territory

  • Retail sales volume responsibility includes major customers such as Grocery, MASS/Club and Emerging Convenience

  • Provide leadership direction for 3 rd party Direct Retail Team

  • Ensure execution of key in-store business drivers including display levels, new item speed-to-shelf, gold standard shelving, cold placement, distribution targets, etc

  • Identify market opportunities and recommend local business plan adjustments to drive incremental sales

  • Provide training, mentoring and coaching to sales team; Achieve assigned work-with and audit targets to ensure people and business development

  • Establish strong relationships with senior market Operations management at key customers

  • Access and analyze retail sales data (such as IRI); utilize data to drive fact-based selling with the customer

  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop and implement retail execution plans and act as liaison between Customer Teams and retail sales team

  • Communicate product and competitive information to senior leadership and account management teams

  • Coordinate quarterly divisional market visits as well as special headquarter and/or senior leadership store tours


Qualifications:



  • BS/BA degree

  • 5+ years of sales and/or retail management experience; preferably with a consumer packaged goods organization

  • Prior people management experience preferred

  • Highly motivated individual with "win in the marketplace" attitude

  • Strong communication and technical skills required

  • Category management experience helpful

  • Strong communication and technical skills required

  • Must be willing and able to travel 10-15% of the time
